Passionate is the term that best describes worship leaders Matt and Jason Gingerich.
The Gingerich brothers have spent their entire lives in the ministry. The sons of itinerate
ministers, Matt and Jason grew up on the road, singing in churches from the age of two.
After many years of full-time travel, the Gingerich family planted a church in their
hometown in the heart of Indiana’s Amish country. After leaving home for college and
while serving in other congregations, both Matt and Jason established themselves as gifted
worship leaders and pastors in their own right. By 2002, both Matt and Jason, and their
wives and children, had returned to their hometown and began serving alongside their father
at Eden Worship Center in Topeka, Indiana.
Their first release, Wayfaring Stranger, is the result of a strong desire to make music that
not only glorifies the Lord, but also serves as a resource to facilitate worship within the
Body of Christ. Recorded with veteran musician Tim Bushong (The Channelsurfers/ Lovewar,
The Bleed), Wayfaring Stranger is a worship recording with something for everyone. From
guitar-driven, modern rock anthems, to catchy pop tunes and melodic worshipful hymns,
Matt and Jason display the versatility in their songwriting and musical styles developed over
a combined total of more than 25 years of leading worship.
Ministry is the focus of everything that the brothers do. Ordained to the ministry on the
same day, Matt and Jason believe that their highest calling is serve Jesus faithfully in
whatever situation they find themselves. Whether it is leading worship on a Sunday
morning at their home church in rural northeast Indiana or traveling internationally,
Matt and Jason bring the same passion to lead others into a place of worship.
